Professions

PrimordialMC features five distinct professions, each with its own resource chain, crafting station, skill tree, and 50-quest mastery track. Leveling your professions is the primary way to raise your Main Level, unlocking gear tiers and accessory slots as you climb toward endgame.

How Professions Work

There are 5 professions on PrimordialMC: Mining, Woodcutting, Farming, Fishing, and Combat. Each profession is individually capped at level 100, and reaching max level in a single profession takes roughly 200 hours of dedicated play.

Your Main Level is not trained directly. Instead, it rises passively as you gain levels across your professions. Every profession level-up contributes to your Main Level, which controls your access to gear tiers, accessory slots, dungeon requirements, and endgame content.

Profession Features

  • Crafting Station: Each profession has its own dedicated crafting station where you convert raw materials into profession-specific gear, consumables, and upgrade components.
  • Unique Materials: Every profession uses its own material chain, progressing from common gathering drops up to mythical-tier crafting reagents.
  • Quest Tree: Each profession has a 50-quest mastery chain that guides you through its progression tiers and rewards a unique title upon completion.

Skill Tree

Every profession has a skill tree where you spend points to unlock passive bonuses and abilities tied to that profession. Skill points are earned as follows:

  • +1 skill point per profession level
  • +1 bonus skill point every 5 levels (at levels 5, 10, 15, 20, …)
  • 120 total skill points at level 100 (100 base + 20 bonus)

Tip

You do not need to pick just one profession. All five can be leveled simultaneously, and your Main Level benefits from every profession equally. Diversifying early gives you the fastest Main Level gains.

Main Level & Gear Unlocks

Your Main Level determines which gear tiers you can equip. Higher-rarity equipment provides significantly better stats, but it cannot be worn until your Main Level meets the requirement.

Main Level Gear Tier Unlocked
Level 1 Common / Uncommon gear
Level 5 Rare gear
Level 10 Epic gear
Level 30 Legendary gear
Level 60 Mythical gear

Important

Gear tier gates are strictly enforced. You cannot equip Legendary weapons at Main Level 30 or socket Mythical enchantments at Main Level 50. Plan your profession leveling to reach gear breakpoints when you need them.

Accessory Slot Progression

Accessory slots unlock progressively as your Main Level increases. You start with 4 base slots and can reach a maximum of 10 slots at level 100. Each accessory type provides different stat bonuses and build options.

Accessory Type Max Slots Unlock Levels
Rings 4 1st at Level 1, 2nd at Level 25, 3rd at Level 55, 4th at endgame
Amulets 2 1st at Level 1 (base), 2nd at Level 100
Bracelets 1 Available at Level 1 (base)
Artifacts 1 Unlocks at Level 15
Charms 1 Unlocks at Level 40
Vigils 1 Unlocks at Level 70

Slot Breakdown

4 base slots (1 Ring, 1 Amulet, 1 Bracelet, 1 Ring) are available from level 1. The remaining 6 slots unlock at levels 15, 25, 40, 55, 70, and 100, giving you a total of 10 accessory slots at max level.

XP Rates

20 to 1,000 XP per catch, determined by the tier of fish caught. Higher-tier fish are exponentially rarer but provide enormous XP payoffs.

  • XP Vouchers — Redeemable experience for any profession
  • Secret Dust — Used to craft Magic Dust for enchantment boosting
  • Enchanted Books — Pre-enchanted books of various rarities
  • Titles — Exclusive cosmetic titles only found through fishing

Crafting Station

Use /fishingstation to access the Fishing crafting station for processing catches and crafting Fishing-specific items.

Quest Tree — 50 Quests — Title: [Tidecaller]

The Fishing mastery chain follows the same progression structure as other professions, guiding you from Uncommon crafting recipes at low levels through Mythical evolution quests at the endgame.

Tip

Fishing is the only profession where you earn income directly from the gathering action itself. Selling high-tier fish is one of the most reliable coin-earning methods in the game, especially at higher Fishing levels where Platinum and Mythical catches become possible.

Combat (Warlord’s Path)

Overview

Combat is the profession tied to killing mobs across all zones and dungeons. XP scales by mob tier and zone difficulty, with dungeon mobs and bosses providing the highest yields. Combat materials are zone-specific and feed into the most powerful weapon and armor recipes on the server.

XP Rates

1 to 200+ XP per mob kill, scaling by mob tier and zone. Overworld mobs give minimal XP, while dungeon elites and bosses provide significant experience. Higher-tier dungeon zones yield proportionally more XP per kill.

Materials

Combat materials scale by zone. Each dungeon tier and overworld region drops its own set of crafting materials, which are used at the Combat crafting station to create combat-specific gear and components.

Crafting Station

Use /combatstation to access the Combat crafting station for forging weapons, armor, and combat-specific items from zone-dropped materials.
